Why sales?

I chose sales because it’s where my natural energy, people skills, and drive for impact come together. I’ve always been drawn to meaningful conversations; whether it is connecting with someone new or helping a friend solve a problem, sales gives me a platform to do that at a professional level. I see it as more than closing deals; it’s about listening deeply, building trust, and offering real value. Coming from a background in marketing and taking on leadership roles, I’ve learned how to think strategically and communicate clearly. But what excites me most about sales is the constant growth. Every interaction is a chance to improve, influence, and inspire. I’m choosing sales because I want a career that’s fast-paced, people-centered, and performance-driven as I know it is where I am meant to be.

The Professional Selling Program

For me, the Professional Selling Program at UCF is not some easy resume booster, but rather a unique opportunity to grow into the kind of confident, adaptable, and impactful communicator I’ve always strived to be. What drew me in wasn’t just the prestige or the selectiveness of the cohort (though that definitely stood out); it was the hands-on, real-world focus. I love learning through doing, and this program gives students the chance to refine their sales skills through mentorship, role plays, and constant practice—not just lectures. With a background in finance and marketing, and a genuine interest in human connection, I see this program as the perfect bridge between the business world and the relationships that drive it. Sales is ultimately about trust, confidence, and value and I’m excited to be surrounded by others who are equally motivated to master those skills and push each other to grow. This program feels like the next natural step for me: challenging, immersive, and deeply aligned with how I want to show up in the professional world.
